Product Description
Hub 10.3
Communications Manager
The HUB system communications manager is the backbone of your networked OutBack power conversion system. The OutBack HUB communicates stacking, load share and power save on/off signals. Interconnection cabling is standard Ethernet CAT5 with RJ45 modular jacks. Through the use of a HUB, your system is completely coordinated and managed by the MATE.
The HUB-10.3 communication manager allows the MATE to control and monitor a maximum of ten OutBack products. The inverter/chargers can be operated in a stacked or independent configuration. The HUB-10.3 manages both the inter-inverter communications and the MATE-inverter communication. When two or more FX inverters are stacked in a parallel or series configuration, for example, the system automatically turns off any excess slave inverters to save power and maximize conversion efficiency. This power save system is fully automatic and works with or without the MATE connected to the system.
